The Face Direction Lines are not a requirement. Most people do not
use them. On the other hand, it is good to know about them, if you
need to show the direction of the face.

Students often ask if the Face Direction Line is the neck. No it is
not. Another question is "Where do you write a facial expression, if
you write a Face Direction Line?"
