October 22, 1998 Good Evening Everyone - I can see we have three members of the SW Pen Pal Club already...Charles Butler, Joe Martin and Stuart Thiessen! That's great...and I hope the three of you will be Pen Pals with each other. If occasionally you have a question about SW itself - you can send me the sign, or write me an email message, and I can give my input. And, with your permission, we can post some of your writing on the web occasionally, by scanning your handwriting. The only problem I can foresee is that I am quite tired these days...so you may have to be patient for a response from me, but sooner or later it will come! ...Meanwhile, for the students participating in the SignWriting Literacy Project...we could connect one classroom with another classroom. It could become a stimulating project, teaching reading and writing, with the teachers guiding the students. So, if any of the teachers in the SWLP would like to connect their class with another class, as SW Pen Pals, please tell me and I will try to make the arrangements.
