Subject:  QUESTION: Formatting SW dictionaries? Part 1

SignWriting List
May 14, 2001

Hello Everyone!
Back on April 29, I started a series of questions and answers about
printing dictionaries with SignWriter 4.4. I never finished the
lessons. So to get started again, here is a repeat of the first
question, and my answer:

>QUESTION:
>The Dictionary feature in SignWriter 4.4 places the word descriptions
>(or glosses) below the signs. Can I format it differently, so the
>glosses or word-descriptions are on top of the signs, or to the side?

ANSWER, Part 1 (of 3 Parts):
The Dictionary feature in SignWriter 4.4 has two sections:

1. Data-Entry-Screen
While you are in SignWriter, type Alt-D to open the Dictionary. You
can add, subtract and change signs. The words are placed beneath the
signs on this "Data-Entry-Screen":
