Subject:  Finger Movement Symbols

Dear SW List:

Finger Movement Symbols were designed to be placed on the second
position of a sign. There is a reason for this, which I will explain
with several diagrams.

Here is an example. It is a page from Goldilocks in ASL. Notice the
Finger Movement Symbols over the signs for "bear" and "newspaper".
They are placed above the second position of the sign, not the first:
