Hello Cris!
Wonderful to hear from you again. Charles Butler just told us about
rioting and near civil war in Brazil. I am so sorry to hear this. Our
news media in the US never told us about this, so I did not realize.
I am praying for you.

Regarding Chinese...Thank you for your diagram. Isn't Chinese a
beautiful writing system? Yes, you are correct that it is written
both vertically and horizontally. And that is the same with
SignWriting. People write both vertically and horizontally, depending
on the person and the software being used.

But SignWriting is not Chinese. I must leave Chinese to others, as I
know little about it. I do not think that Chinese uses spatial
relationships, as SignWriting and Sign Languages do.

Vertical SignWriting gives more information to the reader than
horizontal SignWriting. In other words, vertical SignWriting is more
accurate.

I don't believe the accuracy changes in Chinese, based on the
direction of writing?

It will be fun to discuss the differences between vertical and
horizontal SignWriting....I hope to do so in the next message...
