Subject:  SW Illustrates NTID Tech Signs Manuals

Dear SignWriting List Members:
Back in 1979 I worked for six months as a consultant at the National
Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) in Rochester, New York, under Dr.
Frank Caccamise in the Communication Research Department. SignWriting
symbols are used in a series of books published under Dr. Caccamise. The
SignWriting movement symbols are blended with life-like illustrations to
illustrate technical signs.

From 1979 to the present, there have been at least 10 books published using
SignWriting symbols in the NTID Technical Signs Project, and after all
these years, new books are still being developed.

I just received an email message from Dr. Caccamise, telling me that they
have combined some of the books together making them larger volumes. So I
am looking forward to receiving copies myself :-)

If you would like more information about the NTID Technical Signs Project,
which includes books and videos teaching Technical Signs, you can contact
Dr. Caccamise directly. Here is the information he just sent me:
