Hello Cecilia and Kate. I wish I could be there with you on Saturday. I
certainly will be thinking of you all and specially the children. So great
that they have computers to work with. Any chance of having the children
correspond with the children in Canada again? Would be nice!!!
Good luck,
Tini.

SignWriting List
April 11, 2002

Dear SignWriting List Members!

On April 12-13 (this weekend), there will be two remarkable
SignWriting demonstrations, presented by the SignWriting Literacy
Team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Not only will teachers who use
SignWriting daily with their deaf students present their findings and
experiences to an audience of CASA Conference participants...but what
I feel is particularly exciting...is that the deaf children
themselves will also be presenting SignWriting!! They have ten
computers lined up in a row, and on Saturday the deaf children, along
with their teachers, will be showing participants how they type with
the SignWriter Computer Program! The children are 8 years old! And a
true understanding of reading and writing is growing in these
remarkable children, because of the dedication of some brave and
innovative teachers!

So if anyone is in New Mexico Friday or Saturday, I hope you will
attend. Contact presenters Cecilia Flood or Kate Lee for information:
