December 13, 1998 The SignWritingSite received two awards on December 2, 1998. They are now at the top of our homepage. The awards were given by the editors of "Bonus.com, the SuperSite for Kids", which is a web site designed to teach children to appreciate literature. About two months ago, the editors became intrigued with one of the Children's Stories we have posted on our SignWriting Web Site. The story they liked was "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie", written in Nicaraguan Sign Language: If You Give A Mouse A Cookie https://www.SignWriting.org/mouse01.html and it is my understanding that they included the story in games for children online. Well apparently, the story was popular! I received such a warm email message from them, stating that our Site was given these awards: The Kid Cool Award & The Editor's Choice Award Since September, 1996, when I posted our first Special Feature, our web site has received six awards. This is a big lesson. I hope to post it tomorrow, December 14th, or if I am late (grin), December 15th!
