Subject: writing signed languages

Hello everyone,
I have been learning SignWriting for a while now and I incorporated it into my upper level ASL Linguistics class last semester at University of Kansas. My MA thesis in Applied Linguistics is about "Writing Signed Languages." I have gained much insight from this list and I plan to contact many of you to ask if I may quote some of your opinions in my thesis. I am giving a colloquy to present my work on Monday April 27th in Lawrence, Kansas if anyone is nearby and would like to come. The thesis exists to detail the benefits of having a writing system, particularly for the American Deaf community. I plan to complete the thesis in the next couple of months.
