You're right, Ben. We are a stellar lot and I think we're all here because we see the future and it contains a written form of a beautiful, visual language. I'm with Jerry S... no credentials, just a burning desire to learn and - for some reason - about 8 years experience under my belt as an interpreter (not my idea, but grateful to be asked by Deaf friends) in some very difficult and complex situations. I, too, first learned sign (LSQ first in Quebec, ASL later (still ongoing) in Ontario) in a Deaf congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. I am part of this list and we (4 Deaf friends and 3 CODAS and I...) are part of the SignWriting Literacy Project because we feel it is obvious this wonderful language should be preserved in writing.
