Ok, I guess we could go along with introducing each other. My name is Francis Bezellain. I'm in my mid-30's. I'm profoundly deaf since birth along with my other disablitiy which is Cerebral Palsy. None of those disability never stopped me in the way of any of my dreams..... just that I do wish I could hear. I'm a forensic pathologist tech working for the county coroner's office. But I work out of my home doing all the paperwork on the computer and they do call me in when they need a "hand". I live in a small town in Iowa and not much happening around, but there's always tons of paperwork that needed to be put on the computer storage for archives. I'm a widower since 1990 and I do have a 16 year old son, Jacob. Always give his dad (me) a hard time. He is my "personal interpreter" even though he dont want to admit that he does know sign language. Typical for a teenager! What could I say! :) I became interested in SignWriting cause I thought that would be fascinating. I do use ASL as my primary language as well as speaking English and other langauge that my family still speaks fluently. (My dad is of a Sicilian heritage where my great grandparents arrived here from Sicily) And I hope to get to know all of you thru the listserv and share our opinions on SignWriting and anything related with the Deafness. :) Francis Bezellain |
