Hello Everyone :-))))
Thanks for all the great messages. I am so swamped, I am spinning in
circles in my office, not knowing what to do first! But this is really an
exciting and an important time...let me explain...
SignWriter 5.0 is VERY important for all of our futures with SignWriting -
I am focusing on hiring a programmer right now, and my decision will
literally change the way all of us type SignWriting in the future. It is a
little like developing the printing press - it will have that much
influence on SignWriting's history.
I am negotiating with two very skilled programmers - they are skilled in
this highly technical computer language called SWING, and I have been a
nervous wreck over it - because it means so much to get a good programmer.
They are both quite expensive, and I have to be on my toes to use their
hours to the fullest advantage. I literally will be designing typing
techniques simultaneously, while they are programming the features I
design. Not only will we be able to type horizontally and vertically, but I
am hoping we can develop techniques of typing in colors and other patterns
such as circles and diagonals - used when writing poetry in signs. But this
doesn't happen overnight - it is a very big job. And our funding can run
out too fast, if I don't plan properly in advance.
So I am sorry I cannot post your Bible articles tonight - I am too busy
molding our future!
Posting articles takes several hours of work. As soon as the initial hiring
is overwith, I should be able to help, in about two days.
I remember once, Ron, you said a public prayer for SignWriter 5.0...
Remember that? Then a bunch of you "seconded the motion" - Well, your
initial prayer is having its influence! (grin) - SignWriter 5.0 is
"happening", although it is a struggle.
It will be an intense summer for me and the programmers, to make our beta
test version by the Fall semester.
But back to Ron's request.... First, keep up the translations - they are
great! Does anyone else have a web site and could help Ron post his
SignWriting? Or why not send the attached files to Joe Martin and others
privately? They can open the files and write back to you. Just be sure not
to send attached files to the SignWriting List, since some List members
cannot accept attached files.
And by the way, there is an excellent story written in SignWriting posted
on the web that also needs some feedback - it is written by Charles Butler.
Apparently I didn't post the whole story on April 27th - I didn't realize I
had an incomplete file at the time I did the posting - but you can still
read it to see what grammar points you would suggest. Charles would like
your feedback:

Have a great evening everyone. I must focus on SignWriter 5.0 this evening,
and I will tell you what happens in a couple of days!
