Your poster board idea is so simple -- why didn't this occur to me before?
You know, when we watch these films nowadays, the tape comes with
background music. But, back in the good old days, the theater obtained a
musical score for its own orchestra.

I'll let you know how this works out. (Of course, we could also just
interpret the captions. But, they are often very idiomatic or poetic --
more confusing in translation than if simply ignored. Besides, your poster
idea will be a fun class project.)
