Please note that a number of sites offer evaluation copies of such
software. These are fully functional, and if you don't like the way
they operate, you don't have to pay for them at the end of the
evaluation period. I would refer folks to try Paint Shop Pro. I
utilize this program for many purposes every day, and it is, at least to
me, very user friendly. It requires a pretty good chunk of real estate
to hold, it is about 14,123 kb in size. But evaluation is free, and it
is downloadable. See the site at:

Near the bottom of the page you will find a section with download links
called "Hot Downloads", where you can get this software.
