Hello Charles -
Thanks for the offer to beta test SignWriter 5.0. I appreciate it. Since
you are skilled in SignWriting and have typed so many SignWriter files in
the past, testing to see how your old files "convert" to the new format
will be an important task.
The printing issues will be different with SignWriter 5.0. The old and the
new program are not the same. SignWriter 4.3 for MS-DOS is designed for
laser printers, and only some other kinds of printers work. But SignWriter
5.0 is using the java programming language to print and it should be more
universal.
We now have four people who have offered to beta test, counting yourself.
Three are on IBM's and one on the Mac. We do need more, so I hope others
might be interested too.
