May 29, 2000 Dear SignWriting List: As you know, there are a lot of projects, and some very exciting ones are scheduled for the future.... For example, in the next three months (during the summer months in the northern hemisphere)... Our projects are... 1. True Type Fonts This is an ongoing project with Michael Everson, and now Jerry Spillman is helping us convert the fonts to the PC. 2. A Research Article from Norway Ingvild Roald will be sending me a document and I will be posting it at a later date. 3. Documentary about Albuquerque A video will be edited and a documentary created. 4. Cursive SignWriting Handbook Karen van Hoek is writing a book on Cursive SignWriting. 5. SignWriter 4.3 in PDF Format A new manual teaching how to convert SignWriter documents and dictionaries to PDF. 6. SignWriting Databases A new manual teaching how to place SignWriter 4.3 data into other database software. 7. Plus occasional lessons on the SignWriting List ;-) ....and that is enough for me right now!... Every project involves my time, and I have become quite overtired and I need some time to relax now...I am sure you all understand... And I am sure you all need rest and relaxation too! So if we have a few less postings on the SW List don't be surprised - on the other hand - I am here and certainly look forward to sharing with you when I can ;-) For those in the northern hemispheres, have a wonderful summer! For those in the southern hemispheres, I hope your winter is not too cold :-( But keep smiling!
