QUESTION:
Can I format SW4.4 dictionaries differently, so the glosses or
word-descriptions are on top of the signs, or to the side?
ANSWER, Part 2:
While you enter the signs in the dictionary, or read them on the
screen, the words are always under the signs.
But once your data is entered into the dictionary, it can be printed
in a different format, with the words to the left side of the signs.
Dictionary Manager Program
Quit SignWriter. In MS-DOS, in your SW directory, type DICT and press
Enter. The Dictionary Manager program will open. Choose "P" for
Print. It will give you four choices of printing formats.
All four "Dictionary-Manager-Print-Formats" place the word
descriptions to the left side of the signs. Search-words are
automatically printed at the top of each page and page numbers are on
the bottom. Each section of the alphabet is automatically divided by
a dark thick line. You can choose one column or two columns, and two
different sizes. Here is an example of a two-column format: |
