Valerie, I know that this might seem like something more, but with your new CD technology, it might be worth it. Have you considered making "CD Snapshots" of the website and/or the SW-L archives so that people who might not have the ability to spend a lot of time browsing on the internet could still browse a CD? It would be quite simple if I understand the process right. Just copy the entire file structure for the SW site and/or archives to the CD. The only thing I don't know with regard to the archives is how to organize or make them searchable. But as long as you use relative links in your website, it should be easily transferrable to the CD and give people a portable SW website. If you did that every 6 months or however often, then it could become another valuable resource since people could simply insert a CD and get all the SW help that you have posted to the site. Does this make sense? What do the rest of you computer people (or non-computer people) think? I'm trying to think of the simplest way to get all the diagrams, email archives, SW help site (including PDFs, SGNs, and other shareware on the site) into an easy "knowledge base" for people to use as a companion to the printed materials. Just a thought. Can anyone refine it?
