May 29, 2001 GIRICOCCOLA By Ann Cunningham Story retold by Jayne Harnett-Hargrove American Sign Language narration by Cynthia Watson. Giricoccola is the latest in a series of multi-sensory fairy tales. Comprised of seven bas-relief panels, this popular Italian fairy tale is rich with themes of transformation and redemption. The story is illustrated with a variety of materials including slate, bronze, limestone, cherry wood, silver and gold leaf and is supported by Braille and large print text making it both visually and tactually appealing. Additionally, each panel of the fairy tale will be supported by a video with a narrator telling the story in AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE. | |||||
