For those of you who might perhaps be wondering... I see that Katie Kramer has been sharing her experiences at a school for Deaf in Managua, Nicaragua. This program has nothing to do with the schools in Bluefields or Condega, which are operated or supported by Nicaraguan Sign Language Projects, and which teach SW. I have just returned from Bluefields and Condega, by the way, where I distributed Volume I of our SW story collection. Katie is quite correct about the heat in Managua which has been more oppressive than usual of late. Take heart, Katie -- Bluefields is worse. Sometimes I think the entire operation should be moved to Condega -- breezy and relatively cool. -- James Shepard-Kegl | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
