Yes, I too have begun to use SignWriting when teaching Sign Language at both UNM and at a local bank for employees working with a fellow bank employee who is deaf. Most get the 'hang ot it'...I can tell by those nodding heads..."oh yea...I can see (understand) the SW now". Good luck with your teaching in the fall.

I am always encouraged and impressed by how quickly people learn SW, and how
valuable others see it so quickly.  I have been asked to teach sign language
classes in my Church this fall, and I plan to use SW as an important part of
the curriculum.  I personally believe that the written form will help me
teach the language.

Best wishes to all

The Post Office recently released the "Fund the Cure" stamp to help breast
cancer research. They cost $.40 each. The additional $.07 goes to breast
cancer research. A "normal" book costs $6.60. This one is only $8.00.  If all
stamps are sold, it will raise an impressive $16,000,000.
     ~~~~~     Go out and purchase some of these stamps.    ~~~~~~
