For me, I think it depends on the sign and its intent.  Sometimes the end position, like in Vovo below, is less important than the fact of closure from a starting position.  The sign for "Deaf" (same in ASL and Libras) is easy to read with either one.

Here I am again with an old doubt: should I write the end or start position ? I've read the it's best to write the last handshape, but I really feel that we read clearly with the start position and then add the symbol of movement.
Examples:
Gradma (Vovó in LIBRAS)
start position
 
 
end position
 
So...what do you think about it ?
