Writing a Sign Language Chorus sounds like a wonderful project, Stefan.

Although this idea has been discussed before, I do not personally
know of anyone doing it. Does anyone else know of such a project?

Writing a Sign Language Chorus definitely can be done. The movements
could be timed with the music, if you wish. I posted a little bit on
timing on E-Lessons:

Timing & Tempo
Question 0048: Writing Signed Songs With Music

Question 0049: Tempo or Speed of Movement, Part 1

Question 0049: Tempo or Speed of Movement, Part 2

Question 0049: Tempo or Speed of Movement, Part 3

Question 0049: Tempo or Speed of Movement, Part 4

Ironically, the writing of tempo and speed of movement fits with the
discussion of Movement Dynamics...Writing movement to the counts of
the music is where the dynamics symbols developed..in Part 4 of
question 0049, you can see Gradual Movement Symbols being used to
show the timing of the movement....historically that is where Gradual
Symbols developed...because of timing issues...

And writing the combination of dance, gesture, mime and signed
languages is one of the reasons why SignWriting works....stemming
from DanceWriting, it is a writing system that is capable of writing
"Sign Language Theater", as well as formal structured Sign Languages.

I remember one person, back in the 1980's, wrote a religious dance,
that began with DanceWriting, but it also incorporated some Sign
Language into the dance. This piece was performed dancing down the
aisle of a church, during a Sunday service, in Oklahoma. And the
piece was written in Movement Writing. I never received a copy of
their document, though...

So I hope you will share your writing with us, Stefan!
