Dear List Members, I've been discussing something with Val. There's a Showcase coming up here in a couple short weeks and, while I'm committed to provide materials for it for another organization, I want to do something for SignWriting too. Val and I hit upon the idea of distributing a CD. I like this idea. My original idea was to use a 3.5" floppy and put SignWriting 4.4 on it. But being a DOS program, very few people would know what to do with it. If I put it on a CD, however, and include other things that can be seen in Windows, we can provide the instructions for setting up and running SignWriting in DOS. We could also include many things: PDF files, HTML pages, links to the SignWriting site, Ghostwriter (GhostView). There's also the idea of making a menu and having it load automatically or click on the menu file from the CD. Let me tell you - it's an exciting idea for me but I've only got those 2 short weeks and I have other material to produce too. Val reminded me that Stuart was trying to do a CD too. Stuart, did you ever succeed? Val suggested I ask you, the list, for suggestions. While the possibilities are intriguing, I want to be able to include as much as I can but as clearly and effectively as possible. Any suggestions? Bill | ||||||||||||
