The problem is that there are very severe restrictions on what a real MS-DOS program can do. The most obvious thing is that NT prohibits direct access to the hardware. As SignWriter accesses hardware directly Windows NT will stop it running. It will take considerable work to fix this --- I know because, with Valerie's permission, I've looked at the sources. I was due to fix it two years ago but instead went ill for all that time. (And now I no longer have access to a Windows NT machine.)
