Good Morning Everyone -
Last week there was a conference on signed language research called TISLR.
It was held at Gallaudet University in Washington DC. Years ago, our DAC
used to attend such conferences. For example, there was a TISLR conference
held in San Diego several years ago, and Lucinda O'Grady Batch presented a
poster on the importance of writing SignWriting down the page in vertical
columns. Lucinda presented the idea, and then we put it into action several
years later.
I have not been able to travel in recent years, so we did not attend the
conference. So I am curious....could someone who attended write a message
to the List, telling us about the conference? How did it go? What were some
of the presentations?
I know this question is not really about SignWriting, but it is "connected"
in a roundabout way, since half the SignWriting List attended the
conference!
Valerie :-)
