It is a video method of transcribing signs. They are able to analyze signs frame by frame and then use glossing, etc. to do their analysis. That's the way I understand it. I was just browsing the web and found the site. I just thought that for linguists who want a detailed analysis, mixing this and SW would be cool. SW would provide a simple way to search the database for certain movements and then a video example would not be far away. I assume hearing linguists do something similar when analyzing the phonetic components of hearing languages??
