Good morning Folks. It appears that now is a good time to post some information regarding the interactive operation of SW-L. Subscribers of a list powered by LISTSERV Software are able to control the process the distributes messages to their inbox. Below is a list of useful commands. Please save for future reference. _____________________________________________________________________ SW-L is "self serve" Below is a list of commands you can use to set your distribution options. For an indepth look at commands and LISTSERV point your browser at: https://www.lsoft.com/manuals/user/user.html ___________________________________________ Posting Address for SW-L Commands are sent to the listserv address; ___________________________________________ ***** Useful Commands for the LISTSERV DO NOT include your signature file when sending a command. By default all subscribers' delivery options are set such that a poster will see their own posts. To subscribe to SW-L send the command; SUB SW-L firstname lastname ***** To change your options so that you receive the DIGEST form of the list send the command; SET SW-L DIGEST ***** To change your options back to regular mail send the command; SET SW-L NODIGEST ***** To change your options so you do not receive any messages from the list send the commend; SET SW-L NOMAIL ***** To resume mail, send the command; SET SW-L MAIL ***** To receive a message from LISTSERV acknowledging delivery of your message, send the command; SET SW-L ACK ***** To see a copy of your own posting, send the command; SET SW-L REPRO ***** To get a list of many more commands that can be used to customize your SW-L subscription, send the command; INFO REFCARD ***** To SIGNOFF the list, send the command; SIGNOFF SW-L ***** To set your mail headers so that using the reply key will return the poster's address in the TO field of your new message, send the command; SET SW-L IETF ***** To get a listing of all, non-concealed e-mail addresses of people subscribed to the list, send the command; REVIEW SW-L ***** To get a listing of all, non concealed e-mail addresses of people subscribed to the list, sorted in alphabetical order, send the command; REVIEW SW-L by NAME ***** To find out what your delivery options are for the list, send the command; QUERY SW-L ***** To see if the listserv is functioning properly, send the command; THANKS ***** -- Up thumb, Paul Cowley "The Interpreters' Network" https://www.terpsnet.com Suite 230, 1326 Huron Street, London, Ontario, Canada, N5V 2E2 | ||||||||
