If any of you nominated the >SignWritingSite, I want to thank you !! ______________________ January 5th, 1999 The Talking Hands Award is now "animated" on the front page of our SignWritingSite, at: https://www.SignWriting.org You will see that it fingerspells: AWARD WINNER in two-handed British Fingerspelling. At least, I am guessing that it is British Fingerspelling. I know there are other two-handed fingerspelling systems in the world, but this looks like British Fingerspelling to me. Perhaps some of our British and Australian signers on the SignWriting List can confirm this for me? As you know, SignWriting has been used for research in England, so we have a Fingerspelling Keyboard for British Fingerspelling, but I personally do not know BSL. Hope someone will visit our web site and then post a message about the fingerspelling - I am really curious! Many thanks - Valerie :-) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Valerie Sutton at the DAC Deaf Action Committee for SW SignWriting https://www.SignWriting.org Center For Sutton Movement Writing an educational nonprofit organization Box 517, La Jolla, CA, 92038-0517, USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
