I cannot think of anyone better suited for the job! And yes... I realize that you do not know ASL. When I post the advanced reading lesson in ASL in SignWriting, you will see that I have captured the signs frame by frame from video, plus we have the actual videotape itself, so technically you will have all the visuals necessary to know what movements we are writing. The one thing that such a comparison does not give, is the goals and philosophies behind the systems, which is also important. The actual writing of the movements are not the whole story when making comparisons. But we can face all those issues when the time comes, before I post the article. This "comparisons" article will be the first feature in our new "SignWriting Linguistic Forum", which is in the planning stages. But I have no set dates, and I think we should take it slowly, since I am about to explode with projects right now!! When I post the first part of the advanced reading lesson on February 15th, I hope you will go up on the web and read that lesson....and then write to me afterwards, and we can talk about specific arrangements. Thanks very much for your offer to help, Susanne - Valerie ':-) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Valerie Sutton at the DAC Deaf Action Committee for SW SignWriting https://www.SignWriting.org Center For Sutton Movement Writing an educational nonprofit organization Box 517, La Jolla, CA, 92038-0517, USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | ||||||||
