August 21, 2000 Question: What are the differences between the three handshapes that show the index and middle finger crossing? Like the "R" handshape in American fingerspelling?.... Answer: (Smile) They are confusing, aren't they?! These three handshapes are not in all signed languages, but they are in Portuguese fingerspelling....Please see the attached diagram: | |||||
