SignWriting List September 25, 2000 Dear SW List! Many of us have expressed disappointment in the past, that Gallaudet seemingly had little interest in SignWriting... Well, according to Gallaudet University Bookstore manager, Priscilla O'Donnell, that is not the case! She tells me that they "have been trying to find our address and phone numbers" for several years...but could not find us! As you know, we have had a well-visited web site since 1996, so our address and phone numbers are all over the web....I assumed they knew where to find me (grin). Anyway, the bookstore has ordered 20 copies of our Sutton's American Sign Language Dictionary, plus they have requested one copy of each of our video titles "for review" to see if they want to carry them. And they tell me that some Deaf people have asked for SignWriting materials at their bookstore!!
