Hello Nancy and Everyone!

Thanks for this lovely message - you always share such positive
experiences with us Nancy, it is really heartwarming!

I spoke with Cecilia Flood, in Albuquerque recently, and I understand
that you and the other teachers in New Mexico who use SignWriting,
might get together this weekend? That is great...I hope you can help
and support each other :-)

I know one teacher, Kate Dalton, is getting married next week?!!
Congratulations, Kate! I will call you to wish you the best soon....

I have so much to tell you I don't know where to begin...

First, Nancy I am sorry we never responded to your question about
facial expressions and verbs - you are correct that there are facial
expressions connected to verbs, but they differ depending on the
grammar of the sentence ...and so because I am not personally an
expert on ASL...I was afraid to answer...but I can help you if you
post some of your own writing - that way I can read what you wrote
and make comments on it. Or we can make an appointment for technical
support over the TTY....

Second, a thought connected with that....MJ is a Deaf person with a
strong knowledge of ASL. I wonder, if you wrote to her, and if she
knows you are Deaf, Nancy, and that you are having positive
experience with your Deaf students using SignWriting, that MJ could
help us with writing some of those grammar issues in SignWriting? It
would be wonderful if you could share with MJ about this..

Just a thought!

Thanks for your posting!

Val ;-)
