Deadline for Deaf Way II Early Registration Fast Approaching The deadline for early registration discount for Deaf Way II is September 30, 2001. Deaf Way II is an international conference and festival reflecting the past and imagining the future. Deaf Way II will be held July 8-13, 2002, in Washington D.C. Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing people, from around the world are invited to present and discuss issues of language, history, culture, arts, technology, and human rights. Artists from around the world will exhibit and perform arts shaped by the aesthetics and values of a shared culture. Back by popular demand will be the International Deaf Club, which is being designed by deaf artist Chuck Baird. The International Deaf Club will feature multiple large video screens, excellent sightlines, entertainment every night, air conditioning, a disc jockey, large dance floor, and plenty of comfortable seating. Admittance to the International Deaf Club is limited to officially registered participants only. Full registration includes: admittance to all conference sessions; cultural arts activities, exhibits, and showcases; opening performance and tickets to THREE theatrical performances; International Deaf Club; vendor exhibits; kids fun center; shuttle bus service between D.C. Convention Center, Gallaudet, Union Station, and all cultural arts events venues; conference program book; and Deaf Way II bag. This is an event you don't want to miss!
