Hello Dawn, and welcome to the SignWriting List!

And thank you for your introduction. I mailed your information packet
yesterday...please feel free to write with comments...I would be interested
to know what you and the other teachers think.

I notice that you are located in Las Vegas, Nevada. A former professor from
Gallaudet University, James Womack, who is now an ASL professor at the
Community College of Southern Nevada (CCSN), located in Las Vegas, is also
a member of the SignWriting List. James invited me to teach SignWriting for
a one day seminar last year at CCSN. It was a great experience for me, and
James is wonderful to work with. James told me yesterday that he is hoping
to someday have SignWriting in the computer labs on campus, and is making
plans for this now. The equipment labs there are very impressive - perhaps
you know the campus?

So you will not be alone with SignWriting in Las Vegas, if you choose to
learn and use it!

Thanks again for writing!

Valerie :-)
