Hi Nancy, nice to hear from you ! Iīm sorry - but once again - can you give an additional comment for the foreigners ? MJ - seems to be a well known important person ?? What about him/her ? 2)" I use it with my kids and it helps them > express their thoughts so much better than just writing it in English." Can you comment on this ? I mean - do your students already write by hand in SW what they canīt write in English ? What kind of written materials are you talking about ? Of course - we know - our students are able to read SW without too much or just very little training ! But what about using SW vor expressing their thoughts ? Well they will sign - of course - but do they write their ideas already by hand in SW ? Can you share some of their written materials ? I would love to get an idea what I perhaps can expect my students to perform - ?? They are doing great though ! They get better and better with copying signs from the blackboard - while I practice more and more to write SW by hand ! (ha ;-) This seems to be very important for my students. Watching me - the way I write the symbols at the blackboard they learn to concentrate on special elements that are necessary for the whole "Gestalt". All the best Stefan ;-) ----- Original Message ----- From: Nancy Cole To: Sent: Friday, September 29, 2000 12:47 AM Subject: Re: SignWriting at Gallaudet > Hi, this is in response to the last message.
