Dear Miguel, I am sooooo astonished to read these lines. I ±> not the man who is asked to speak for anybody else - but just in short 2 ideas: 1) I can assure you that there must be a reason that is far beyond any idea of discrimination or neglection or non interest - I bet that there has happened a very human reason - or just not knowing ... Valerie is so much under pressure to get her to-do list done - nobody can imagine what she gets done under these special circumstances .. 2) Your words sound like you feel very disappointed. Well - SW is such a tremendous help to hearing and Deaf to bridge the languages , to focus on special SL- aspects , to support literacy in deaf students ... You are absolutely right to look forward to learn more about that. If you look at my German website www.gebaerdenschrift.de you will notice that I am heart and soul for SW. The problems you mention - to work without computers - can be a major aspect to initiate a project writing SW by hand - I would love to learn on that myself. So why shouldn ±² we start from the scratch and learn from each other. There are several competent lismembers who might be willing to assist so that the burdon of fundamental teaching isn ±² left on Valeries shoulders. Instead of beeing angry - and writing statements that put a burdon on others we should concentrate our energy in order to understand more and more about this wonderfull Movement Writing System. Go ahead with your first question and post the message to the list! I`ll be happy to support you and your friends ! Best whishes Stefan ;-) ----- Original Message ----- From: Miguel Villarreal To: Sent: Friday, July 13, 2001 2:34 PM Subject: Re: Leaving the list > Hi Valerie Sutton > This is Miguel From Bolivia. > > I Was very exited to learn more about SW .... six months ago.
