My dear friends -
So much is happening here. I only wish there were enough hours in the
day to share it all with you!
I have received impressive reports from Germany, Albuquerque and
Switzerland. Quite amazing that so many of you are choosing the hard
work...and yes, it is hard work....to write your Sign
Languages...when they have never been written before in history. So
we are all learning together...and also very fortunate, that we have
the internet!
Let me share a project with you....Recently I received a videotape
from Zurich, Switzerland. Deaf signwriters in Zurich wrote the signs
on the video in SignWriting and they would like my feedback.
Meanwhile....another project....the SignBank database....needs some
signs from different countries stored in the database. Soooo.....I am
going to blend the two projects together. I will place these Swiss
signs into the SignBank database, while I give feedback to the
writers in Zurich, and post the signs to the SignWriting List
occasionally, to share writing issues with all of you....
OK with all of you?!! ;-)
This will be fun!
