There are several ways to approach developing software for
SignWriting. We have at least four different appoaches, including:

1. SW text editors (also called SW processors, like word processors)
Sign symbols are typed directly with a keyboard as text.

SIGNWRITER 4.4 (in DOS)
SIGNWRITER 5.0 (not yet available)

The attached diagram shows the Sign Keyboard for SignWriter 4.4:
