Dear SW List Members:
Late Sunday, I was lucky to have visitors from Spain!
Well, actually, Steve and Dianne Parkhurst, and their beautiful
little boys, Spencer and Alex, are Americans living in Spain. But
they have lived in Spain now for almost a decade, and their work with
SignWriting and the Spanish Deaf Community continues.
Little Spencer, age 3, and his 3-month old brother, Alex, were a
particular pleasure for me, since I have no children. After they all
left yesterday afternoon, I started to miss little Spencer's sunny
and playful personality...he is really charming!
Steve and Dianne and I had an excellent meeting. I appreciate the
time Steve took to really review SignBank with me. I showed Steve all
8 SignBanks, plus the SignBank Editor,SymbolBank, and the Lessons
Online. We discussed "SignBank 3: Search-by-Symbols", and "SignBank
8: MultiLingual Comparisons" at length. Thank you, Steve, for your
input!
In the next message, I will write a report about SignWriting in
Spain, to give you all a summary of the good news the Parkhursts
shared with me!
Thank you, Steve and Dianne, for coming to visit...it was wonderful
to see you again!
