December 22, 1998 For those of you traveling during the holidays, you may want to temporarily turn off your incoming messages from the SignWriting List, and then turn them back on again when you return. You can do this yourself from your own computer. Here are the instructions: ___________________ NO MAIL COMMAND An individual subscriber, wishing to temporarily turn off incoming messages from the SignWriting List, can set their mail options to NOMAIL. How do you do this? Send this command in the body of your message: SET SW-L NOMAIL To this email address: You will then be able to still post to the List, and read the SW List Archives on the web, but you will not receive any messages in your email box. TO RESUME REGULAR MAIL Send this command in the body of your message: SET SW-L MAIL To this email address: ______________________________________________ Hope this helps holiday travelers!
