January 16, 1999 Hello Everyone! I am happy to announce that I just posted nine year-end reports on our SignWriting Web Site. These reports give an excellent summary of the history of SignWriting. Each report capsulizes one year. If you read 1989 and some of the earlier reports, you will notice quite a lot of software development. I am actually thinking of ressurrecting SignBank I and II for the Macintosh later this year. You can read about SignBank I and II for the Macintosh in the early reports below, and we can discuss my ideas for 1999 later! By the way, you will notice 1994 is missing. I can't find it! If I do, I will post it later :-) We also have year-end reports dating back to 1974, but those were typed on "an old-fashioned typewriter" and are not in the computer yet. So they have to be entered into the computer, and there is not time at the moment. In time I plan to post those as well, because the historic record is important for our SignWritingSite, which is our "reference library" on the web. Here are the reports available now. If anyone wants me to post one or all of these reports to the SignWriting List I will be happy to do so - not everyone on the List has web access.
