February 3, 1999 Dear SW List - I am in the process of reorganizing the SignWritingSite. There were so many icons that it became difficult to find articles. We have over 50 lessons or articles on the site, with over 200 web pages. And I do not want to throw anything away. This is our reference library online, and even if articles become out of date, they are still a part of history. So, creating an easy-to-use site is important. I hope you will give me your feedback. I have just started this re-organization process. I will slowly make improvements with time. So, if you have suggestions for better organization, I am very interested and open to your ideas. I hope you will post your ideas to the List, so we can work together as a team :-) Meanwhile, here is my first change. I have narrowed the site down to the ten categories below. If you visit the home page with frames: SignWritingSite Home https://www.SignWriting.org ....you will see that these icons (or categories) are in the frames to the left: Home Site Directory About SignWriting Catalog Library Lessons Forums Contact DanceWriting Links So I got it down to 10 icons ...before there were more than 20! Do you feel this is an improvement? When you click on "About SignWriting" do you find what you expect? The Library will include all of our SW Literature, and also articles about SignWriting. The Forums are for teachers, researchers, programmers, and writers. Anyway - that is what I have been working on!
