The
writing of Sleeping Beauty in

Sign Language is a beautiful
storytelling in
ASL by Darline Clark Gunsauls.
Darline is Deaf and a native
ASL signer
who is a professor of American
Sign Language
at American River College in
Sacramento, California.
Darline signed the story in
American Sign Language,
on video in 1998, and then Kelly
Jo Boal, in 2007-2008,
wrote the story, from the video,
in SignWriting.
Darline
Clark Gunsauls has contributed
a
variety of children's stories
to the
SignWriting
Literature Project,
including Goldilocks Levels
2 & 3,
Snow White Levels 2 & 3,
Sleeping Beauty Level 3,
Cinderella Levels 2 & 3,
Tortoise & the Hare
and an article written to children
about the stories.
Kelly Jo Boal has written Darline's
Snow White,
Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella
