SignWriting List April 21, 2000 Dear Jerry, Angus and Everyone! Thank you soooooo much, Jerry, for braving this new world of .PDF for us! For those who find the instructions daunting, don't worry...in time I will create a visual pictorial instruction guide that takes people through the process step by step. People feel intimidated by computers, and part of my job is to make it easy for them to access SignWriter... But you have given us a true gift, Jerry and Angus, for verifying that it is possible. I am on a Macintosh, but when you sent me your PDF file, I didn't have to use a Windows emulator to open SignWriter. Directly on my Mac, as a Mac file, I was able to print out email.sgn...and on top of that...I do not have a laser printer, but an ink jet. Now...there is another test that is quite important, and that is Print Format 3 or 4, or even 5. They are very different. They reduce the size of the SignWriting considerably, and they place the writing landscape and in several columns. I am interested to see those formats in a PDF, because they will take less pages, since the SignWriting itself is smaller. So thank you once again!!
