Hi Bill!
I just did exactly what you said....it worked well in general,
although the translation itself is quite poor. Take a look at the
opening phrase on Stefan's site....
The German says this:
"Hallo, herzlich Willkommen bei GebärdenSchrift in Deutschland."
AltaVista's translation from German to English says:
"Hello, cordially welcomes Bearing writing in Germany."
It probably should be something like: "Hello. Welcome to SignWriting
in Germany."
I guess AltaVista didn't know that GebärdenSchrift means SignWriting
- ha! SignWriting is "Bearing writing" smile....
